What we believe · Nº 03
A watermelon cake should taste like watermelon. Not pink food dye. Real fruit is where we start, and where we stay.
We trial a recipe eleven times before it goes on the menu. If it isn’t quite right, it isn’t quite ready.
Cakes are built to be eaten, not just photographed. Every layer should earn its place on your fork.
Our pastry chef trained in Paris. Our palate is Malaysian. Technique travels; a sense of home stays with you.
Pre-order by Wednesday for the weekend. A proper cake needs care, not a shortcut.
We bake 40 cakes a week. That’s the ceiling. On purpose. Small enough to put our hands on every one.

“A watermelon cake should taste like watermelon.”The idea that started it all
In 2018, it began in a home kitchen in Bangsar. A simple question, a stubborn idea, and a watermelon on the counter.
Could a cake feel as fresh as the fruit itself? The answer wasn’t in more sugar or another decoration. It was in the balance: light sponge, delicate cream, and a generous layer of real watermelon. Eleven trials later, something clicked.
That same curiosity still guides the atelier. Familiar Malaysian flavours meet a pastry chef’s Parisian training. Pandan, lychee, rose, and pistachio are chosen for what they bring to a bite, never just how they look on a menu.
Today, we make forty cakes a week. Still by hand, still in Bangsar, and still with the belief that the best things don’t need to be made bigger. Just better.
